Halloween Brain Cupcakes

Prep time - 10 mins

Bake time - 20 mins

Yields 1 dozen cupcakes


Ingredients:


1/2 cup butter

2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup milk

Few drops of red food coloring


Method:

  1. Bake 1 dozen pumpkin cupcakes following the instructions on this link.

  2. In a large mixing bowl using a hand or stand mixer, cream the butter on medium to high speed.

3. Add the powdered sugar and continue mixing. Add the vanilla extract and then add the milk a little bit at a time until you reach the consistency of buttercream you like.


4. Add a few drops of red food coloring to get the pink color you desire.


5. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip.


6. Make sure your cupcakes are cooled. Then pipe zig-zags in sections, over the cupcakes. You may splash some red coloring or red jelly over the top for a dramatic effect. Enjoy.
