Sugared Cranberries

Yields 1 cup

Prep Time 2-6 hours


1 cup cranberries

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup sugar for rolling


  1. Make a syrup by combining 1/4 cup water and 1/4 sugar in a saucepan over heat. Bring to a quick boil and pour cranberries in.

  2. Stair and remove for the stove top.

  3. Let sit overnight or at least a few hours.

  4. Strain syrup from the cranberries.

  5. Toss cranberries in the 1/2 cup sugar. It will stick to the syrup on the cranberries to give beautiful effect.

  6. Let Dry. There are great for snacking or decorating pies.
